My husband and and I refer to ourselves as late bloomers. We met when I was 32 and he was 41 (mind you, he lied about his age but that is a story for another day). About 5 years into our relationship, we decided that we wanted a family and so began our journey through infertility and adoption. Fast forward to now. I am in my mid-40s in perimenopause. He is in his mid-50s, and we are parenting a soon-to-be preschooler and kindergartener!
There are lots of general parenting blogs out there, but for us late bloomers? Not so much. Most of us who came to this parenting gig later in life had to use some alternative methods to grow our families. Not to mention that parenting small children at this age brings its own unique issues and opportunities. I am creating a community specifically for us.
Follow me here as I share about the roller coaster that has been our journey while offering tips, resources and a community to support us all.
